Historically, a major use of Aloe Vera was the treatment of minor burns. In fact, many households kept a live aloe, or `burn plant', on the windowsill for emergency first aid. Who needs an Aloe Vera plant when you can have a tube of Forever Living Products' Aloe Vera Gelly? Especially prepared for topical application to moisturise, soothe and condition, Aloe Vera Gelly is a thick Gel containing humectants and moisturisers. An excellent rubbing compound for getting pure, Stabilised Aloe Vera Gel into the skin - it is just like applying the gel directly from the leaf.

What's more, it is totally absorbed by the skin and so promotes healing without staining clothes. Aloe Vera Gelly is typically effective in a variety of situations - for instance, minor burns, acne, seborrhoea, eczema, psoriasis and impetigo to name a few. As an example, a recent study of the effects of Aloe Vera Gel on 60 psoriasis patients concluded that over 80% of patients received significant benefit (compared to only 7% who took a placebo). Furthermore, no adverse drug-related symptoms or side-effects were observed (Tropical Medicine & International Health Journal August 1996). The translucent gelly is quickly absorbed and is wonderfully soothing. It can relieve itching, swelling, pain, inflammation and soreness. Its germicidal action helps combat infections, while its soft texture lubricates and soothes wounded tissue in sensitive areas. Additionally, it contains no added oily substances, thus helping to reduce irritation and making it ideal for acne and other such skin disorders. Aloe Vera Gelly can also be used on the skin prior to ultrasonic treatment and is especially calming after electrolysis. Hairdressers use the Gelly around the hair line before perming and colouring to protect the skin.
From the bathroom cabinet to the first-aid kit, and from the kitchen to the campsite - Aloe Vera Gelly is an ideal companion for skin, when it needs a little extra care. |
